BCPNP DOCUMENT REQUIREMENTS

 

BC PNP – SKILLS IMMIGRATION

Stakeholders Involved:
1. Primary Applicant
2. Authorized Representative (Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant or Immigration Lawyer)
3. BC Provincial Nominee Program Office
4. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)

 

Documents Required: (Requirements may vary depending on stream, occupation, and applicant’s situation.)
1. Cover Letter or Submission Letter (optional but recommended)
2. Copy of Valid Passport Bio Page
3. Copy of Current and/or Previous Work Permits
4. Language Test Results (IELTS General, CELPIP General, or TEF Canada)
5. Educational Credentials: Canadian credential or Educational Credential Assessment (ECA), if applicable
6. B.C. Qualification Certificate or Trade Credentials (if applicable)
7. Pay Stubs: Minimum of 3 most recent full-time pay statements from BC employer
8. Employment Reference Letters (not mandatory but can support eligibility)
9. Valid, signed Job Offer Letter (must match occupation and TEER level declared in application)
10. IMM 5476 – Use of a Representative Form (if applicable)
11. IMM 5475 – Authority to Release Personal Information to Employer (optional, if employer needs to interact with BCPNP on applicant’s behalf)

 

BC PNP – EXPRESS ENTRY BC

Stakeholders Involved:
1. Primary Applicant
2. Authorized Representative (RCIC or Lawyer)
3. BC Provincial Nominee Program Office
4. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)
 
Documents Required: (Requirements depend on stream, Express Entry profile, and claimed points.)
1. Cover Letter or Submission Letter (optional but recommended)
2. Copy of Valid Passport Bio Page
3. Copy of Current and/or Previous Work Permits
4. Language Test Results (IELTS General, CELPIP General, or TEF Canada)
5. Educational Credentials:
For Principal Applicant: ECA or Canadian credential
For Spouse (if claiming adaptability points): ECA or Canadian credential
6. Proof of Relationship to BC Relative (if claiming points): Birth certificates, PR cards or citizenship documents of relative, and proof of BC residency
7. Pay Stubs: At least 3 most recent full-time pay statements
8. Employment Reference Letters (recommended for Express Entry profile accuracy)
9. Valid, signed Job Offer Letter
10. IMM 5476 – Use of a Representative Form (if applicable)
11. IMM 5475 – Authority to Release Personal Information to Employer (optional)

 

BRIDGING OPEN WORK PERMIT (BOWP)

Stakeholders Involved:
1. Principal Applicant
2. Authorized Representative (RCIC or Lawyer)
3. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)
 
Documents Required for Online Work Permit Application: (BOWP is only available to individuals with valid work permits or maintained status who have submitted a PR application and received an Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR).)
1. Cover Letter or Submission Letter (optional but recommended)
2. Copy of Provincial Nomination Certificate
3. Copy of Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR) or PR Submission Confirmation
4. IMM 5710 – Application to Change Conditions, Extend Stay or Remain in Canada as a Worker
5. IMM 5476 – Use of Representative (if applicable)
6. Proof of Payment (Government Work Permit Fee + Open Work Permit Holder Fee)
7. Digital Photo (passport-style)
8. Copy of Passport Bio Page
9. Copy of Current or Most Recent Work Permit
10. Copy of Marriage Certificate (if applying with spouse under same application)
 
Important Notes:
BOWP does not require a job offer letter. It is not employer-specific.
Processing times may vary depending on IRCC volume and the applicant’s status.
Application must be submitted while the applicant is physically inside Canada and holds valid temporary resident status (or is on maintained status).
