WORK PERMIT + PERMANENT RESIDENCE

WORK PERMIT + PERMANENT RESIDENCE

(PROVINCIAL NOMINEE PROGRAM OR EXPRESS ENTRY)

Once the applicant successfully receives a work permit (usually LMIA-based Work Permit, Post Graduate Work Permit, or Working Holiday Work Permit) from CIC, they may be eligible to apply for Permanent Residence program immediately or after few months of working in Canada (usually between 6 months – 12 months depending on each applicant’s eligibility).

The interested applicants may be eligible for either or both of Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) or Express Entry.

It is advised to follow below steps to identify which of the options work best for them.

  1. Identify your Comprehensive Ranking Score (CRS). Your eligibility for Express Entry is defined by CRS point. If you are eligible to apply for Express Entry, then it may be a best option to pursue this option, as you’re highly likely to become Permanent Resident the fastest with this option.
  2. Identify your eligibility requirements for Provincial Nominee Program. Depending on your personal criteria, and which province/city you reside in, the requirements for PNP varies. Therefore, make sure to study and understand which eligibility you are lacking to pursue this option.

Once you find out which program you are going to pursue to become Permanent Resident, then you can work towards to meet the eligibility, and apply for the program.

If you’d like to know more about these options, or is looking to apply for Permanent Residence, then please contact us or fill up and send us the Free Assessment in our website.
