EMPLOYER JOB OFFER CATEGORY – FOREIGN WORKER STREAM

OINP Application Fee: $2,000 CAD (Within Greater Toronto Area [GTA]), $1,500 CAD (Outside of GTA).

Federal Application Processing Fee: $825 CAD (Extra for Adding Spouse).

Right of Permanent Residence Fee: $500 CAD (Extra for Adding Spouse).

Dependent Child: $225 CAD

Biometric Fee: $85 CAD (If Required, Extra for Adding Spouse & Children).

Procedure:

1. Registration: Go to Ontario government website page and click “Submit an Application” and follow through the requested steps for OINP Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream.
2. Create a One-Key account.
3. Create a profile in OINP e-Filing Portal.
4. Application: Click on the file number to start and submit the application. The candidate has 14 calendar days after first registering the account to submit the application.
5. Nomination: Receive a provincial nomination (nomination approval letter, work permit support letter and nomination certificate will be sent out by email).

Federal Application: Apply for a permanent residence by submitting a federal application to the designated IRCC visa office within 6 months.

HUMAN CAPITAL CATEGORY – HUMAN CAPITAL PRIORITIES STREAM

OINP Application Fee: $1,500 CAD.

Right of Permanent Residence Fee: $500 CAD (Extra for Adding Spouse).

Dependent Child: $225 CAD.

Biometric Fee: $85 CAD (If Required, Extra for Adding Spouse & Children).

Procedure:

1. Registration: Go to Ontario government website page and click “Submit an Application” and follow through the requested steps for Human Capital Category: Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream.
2. Create a One-Key account.
3. Create a profile in OINP e-Filing Portal.
4. Application: Click on the file number to start and submit the application. The candidate has 45 calendar days after receiving the NOI (Notice of Interest) from Ontario to submit the application.
5. Nomination: Receive a provincial nomination (nomination approval letter and nomination certificate will be sent out by email).
6. Federal Application: Apply for a permanent residence by submitting a federal application to the designated IRCC visa office. The candidate has 30 calendar days to accept the nomination in Express Entry (EE) profile. Nomination gives 600 points in EE. After EE invitation, the applicant has 90 calendar days to submit the application through EE.

HUMAN CAPITAL CATEGORY – SKILLED TRADES STREAM  

OINP Application Fee: $1,500 CAD.

Federal Application Processing Fee: $825 CAD (Extra for Adding Spouse).

Right of Permanent Residence Fee: $500 CAD (Extra for Adding Spouse).

Dependent Child: $225 CAD.

Biometric Fee: $85 CAD (If Required, Extra for Adding Spouse & Children).

Procedure:

1. Registration: Go to Ontario government website page and click “Submit an Application” and follow through the requested steps for Human Capital Category: Express Entry Skilled Trades Stream.
2. Create a One-Key account.
3. Create a profile in OINP e-Filing Portal.
4. Application: Click on the file number to start and submit the application. The candidate has 45 calendar days after receiving the NOI (Notice of Interest) from Ontario to submit the application.
5. Nomination: Receive a provincial nomination (nomination approval letter and nomination certificate will be sent out by email).
6. Federal Application: Apply for a permanent residence by submitting a federal application to the designated IRCC visa office. The candidate has 30 calendar days to accept the nomination in Express Entry (EE) profile. Nomination gives 600 points in EE. After EE invitation, the applicant has 90 calendar days to submit the application through EE.

BUSINESS CATEGORY – ENTREPRENEUR STREAM  

OINP Application Fee: $3,500 CAD (Extra $3,500 for a Business Partner).

Federal Application Processing Fee: $825 CAD (Extra for Adding Spouse).

Right of Permanent Residence Fee: $500 CAD (Extra for Adding Spouse).

Dependent Child: $225 CAD.

Biometric Fee: $85 CAD (If Required, Extra for Adding Spouse & Children).

Procedure:

1. Expression of Interest (EOI): Contact the OINP by email to receive EOI registration form and submit it back to them via email.  
2. Invitation: Receive an invitation to apply (ITA).
3. Net Worth Review: Hire a designated and qualified vendor that’s approved by IRCC to get reviewed about the applicant’s personal net worth and legal accumulation of funds (KPMG LLP, MNP LLP, Deloitte Forensic Inc.).
4. Application: The applicant has 90 calendar days to submit the application through OINP e-Filing Portal.
5. In-Person Interview: The applicant’s business plan and past experience will be evaluated.
6. Stage 1 Application Approval: The applicant will sign a performance agreement with the Government of Ontario.
7. Get a Temporary Work Permit: Ontario government will issue a letter of confirmation to the applicant(s) to get work permit.
8. Business Establishment: The applicant must arrive in Ontario within 12 months from the date of receiving the letter of confirmation. The candidate has 20 months from the date of arrival to Ontario to meet all the conditions agreed on the performance agreement.
9. Final Report: Submit a final report between 18 to 20 months of arriving to Ontario.
10. Supporting Documents: Send supporting documents (language test result [CLB 4], residency [residing 75% of the times in Ontario], active management of the business).
11. Nomination: Receive a letter of nomination and OINP Certificate of Nomination.
12. Federal Application: Apply for a permanent residence by submitting a federal application to the designated IRCC visa office within 6 months.

BRIDGING OPEN WORK PERMIT (BOWP)

Government Fee: $255 CAD.

Biometric Fee: $85 CAD (If Required).

Procedure:

1. Apply for Work Permit.
   1. Online Application: Takes 1-3 months on average (mostly used method).
   2. Paper Application: Takes 3-4 months on average.
   3. Unprecedented situations like COVID-19 can delay the processing time.
